(More customer reviews)This is a directional antenna. You must aim one of the flat side of the antenna toward the direction you wish to extend signal. It helped me just enough. Without this antenna, my wireless laptop would not connect at all in my living room. After installing this antenna, my wireless laptop connected but at the minimal speed. I'm thinking, the antenna added about 5 or 6 feet more of coverage.
