It can create a wireless network from almost any device from a wireless carrier! Simply activate your card, plug it in to the device, and you have a highly-configurable wireless router.
I used it with the Verizon Wireless V740 ExpressCard and was very impressed. MAKE SURE THAT YOU ACTIVATE your wireless device with your service provider before trying to use it with the router. Once activated, the Cradlepoint router connects to the service, and opens up a WAP-type network like you see at Starbucks.
It looks like an open (unprotected) network on your wireless network list, but after connecting, requires you enter a password. It has a myriad of different configuration options and is incredibly user friendly.
A terrific purchase for anyone looking to share a mobile wireless connection!
