First beware that this product does not do simultaneous dual band (there is no indication that it is only one band at a time until you are deep in the configuration menus). That means you have to pick 2.4 (b, g or n) or 5GHz (a or n). There is supposedly a 673GR coming out in a few months that is proper dual band.
Secondly unlike routers from other manufacturers, this one does not reboot itself every time you change a setting. However it then gets confused if you have any port forwarding setup and starts providing the web admin interface externally, and forgets about any port forwarding. If you have DNS settings in it, then it messes up external DNS queries (source address is internal address not external address). The moral of the story is to always manually reboot after any settings change and don't configure any DNS if you have an internal DNS server.
To get a feeling for functionality, Trendnet do have an emulator of the web admin interface on their web site. A really nice feature is that you can have multiple SSIDs each with different security settings. I used WPA for all my machines on one SSID and then had a second one with WEP limited to my Nintendo DS which doesn't support WPA.
It doesn't get very hot, the gigabit works well, and other than the settings change/reboot and DNS issues it didn't have any issues.
