(More customer reviews)I bought mine on May 5, 2009, and it worked very well until the third week of June.
Since then I have been trying to get it replaced. First, I had give the product number and serial number. Once I did that, I was told that my request was suspended until I sent in the receipt. I responded that, since I hadn't saved it, I had to get from the company in Newark, DE. Once I did get it, I sent it in and then found out that I had to log into a particular web page and use certain codes that didn't work to move forward.
I became angry and sent an annoyed e-mail back. I did get an apologetic response that explained that someone one State over had received a router with this number as a replacement to his November 2008 purchase, it sort of made sense if I believed them, which I tended to at the time. So I went through the remaining hoop that worked this time to find out that I still have to send in the bad product and yet another copy of the receipt.
It's like a game they are playing, one hoop after the next andwith new rules. I plan to report back if this turns out well or not. Given my druthers, I wish I could just get my money back and buy something else. Who knows how little time the next Encore router will last?
