Once I got it up and running it made a big difference taking a 60-70% signal and boosting it to 90-100%. The connection cable requires two USB ports to connect to. The cable is a good length for a truck or RV but too short for home use, if you need extra cable, it creates extra strain on your USB port. Be careful what length of extra cable you choose.
