(More customer reviews)I installed this in an XP PC. It connects OK w/ a Netgear wireless router, but the connection is very unstable; usually dropping within five minutes. Signal strength is over 90 percent. SW is current, and no amount of tweaking seems to help.
The router has another PC cabled to it, and a laptop connected via wireless-G. Both connections are very stable. Only the Encore seems to have problems.
The Encore website doesn't have much useful info, and the doc. is pretty minimal. I've emailed Encore Support; hopefully they'll have some answers and I can make this review more favorable.
UPDATE: No response to my email for two days, so I called their T.S. number. They had me change router encryption from WP2-PSK to WPA-PSK. The good news is that the connection is much more stable; the bad news is it's only seeing 24-48 Mpbs. Still, a major improvement.
