(More customer reviews)The pigtail is 12" long. It's just that only 6" extends outside of the unit. The other 6" runs inside the housing before connecting to the antenna proper. The pigtail connector is an N-female type. If you want to to connect this to an SMA wireless card as I did then you will need an RP-SMA Male to N Male connector. I got mine from JEFA Tech. If you're not sure what you need just call them. They are very fair on the shipping. Your combined shipping and product cost will be less than others if you do the calculations.
This is an outdoor unit but I'm using mine indoors with a six foot cable, also from JEFA. Somewhat larger than a cantenna (which I have used the regular and the super) this YAGI pulls in way more signal for about the same price. If you mount the antenna outdoors remember to run a ground!
