(More customer reviews)This WiFi network adapter dongle seems to work quite well. It receives marginal WiFi signals at approximately double the signal strength of my laptop's standard internal antenna. I bought this because I needed to receive a wireless signal in a location where I could "see" the access point, but couldn't connect to it. This little antenna booster got me connected with no problems. On initial installation, the software driver loaded directly from MicroSoft without using the supplied CD disc.--That was a bonus. The only down-side to this adaptor is that on my laptop, the USB ports are located very close together. The "wide body" form factor of the unit blocks access to the adjacent ports when plugged-in directly. I solved that problem by using a short USB extension cable...which I had on-hand but was NOT included. Overall a good product with performance as promised, but I wish the form factor wasn't so "wide."
